And hardly anybody – barely 7 percent of voters – showed up. Was that because nobody cares? Was it because the candidates never say anything? Maybe it was because Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who wants to run the schools, was almost invisible during the campaign? There’s still eight weeks to go before the May 15 runoff election, still time for them to come clean on how they would fix our schools.
